Once upon time women were not deemed worthy of the right to vote. Now women all over the world are demonstrating empowerment through some of the most inspiring and brave roles, women such as Malala, Angela Y. Davis, Sara Blakely, Lauryn Hill and Sheryl Sandburg, the list goes on. But one role which demonstrates a high level of female empowerment but hasn’t been given a chance to truly express its self is personal training. Being a personal trainer in the modern world is one of the most rewarding roles and with such great potential of making a difference in the world, allow us to explain and maybe on International Women’s Day you will decide to become a personal trainer:
YOU CAN CHANGE LIVES
People eat differently, when you show them what to eat. People look different, when you show them how to train. People live differently when you are the one showing them the best way to live, the effect of your knowledge can help change so many lives for the better. For some, the gym can be a daunting place and helping someone face a small fear of going to the gym, you can bring a great feeling of bravery and boldness to someone who would otherwise turn the other way.
FLEXIBLE HOURS
Once you become established and you have gathered a strong clientele to work with, you can be selective with your hours and working environment, for example a recent trend is ‘Online Coaching’ where you can coach people from the comfort of your home via the internet, or you can open your studio and train people around times you prefer. Additionally if you choose to enrol onto our course and become a personal trainer with FFUK, we offer flexible learning hours where you can learn/study in your time based on your preferences. Our class hours are very flexible and are designed to suit the busy person who still desires to fulfil their dream of being a personal trainer, but doesn’t want it to interfere with their busy schedule.
LOTS OF HEALTH BENEFITS
Being a trainer is mostly about health and wellbeing, and to some regard life is also about good health. So what better way to live life than with a vast knowledge of what good health looks like and how to attain it? Not only do you serve great physical health towards yourself and others, but you also serve great value towards mental health, being a trainer is in many cases about being a life coach to clients. The line between training for physical improvements and mental improvements, is very thin but crosses over a lot of the time, your job is to notice when and always aim to improve a person’s view of themselves so they can see the most improvement.
