Whether you’ve been to one or you’re thinking of joining one this summer, bootcamps are popping off this year in 2019, and for good reason. Although bootcamps have been around for a while, we’ve seen a significant increase in attendance popularity over the past months and there’s no doubt this summer we’ll see bootcamp space filled to the max! Thinking of joining one this year? Skeptical about the benefits? Lucky for you we’re about to give a bunch of reasons to bootcamps your next go-to fitness endeavour! Let’s get straight into it:

Boosts Mental Health

One of the compelling benefits of bootcamp workouts is the instructor’s role in driving participants to achieve challenging goals and over one adversity in themselves. Yes, this same will power can be nurtured in 1-on-1 PT sessions but a bootcamp trains you to become more accountable for your actions and pushes you to stay on top with the rest of your team. Bootcamps are of course most commonly associated with the military, namely a period of time before active service that new recruits are shaped and molded into soldiers through vigorous physical fitness and mental toughness. The instructors may not be as brutal as drill sergeants in the military, but they are also not going to let you slack. If you are looking for a great way to make you physically and mentally tougher and more self-confident, a bootcamp might be the way to go.

Bootcamp: Long-term Solution?

Do you find yourself guilty of going through spurts of motivation when it comes to fitness? Well you’re not the only one, as many people have complimented addictive quality of boot camp workouts, and the excellent experience with bootcamp trainers which have aided in their long-term change and lifestyle adaptations. Some bootcamps offer nutritional takeaways for participants and coupled with the supportive coaching from the lead trainer and the encouragement from fellow bootcamp attendees, many people find themselves returning to bootcamps on a regular basis to no surprise at all.

Social Experience

Whether you’re a social butterfly or a shy caterpillar waiting to evolve, bootcamps are notorious for the positive energy which spreads throughout camp like an infectious laugh. Because bootcamps in general can be quite large, participants are often divided in groups of 2-3 to add a competitive edge to the experience. This division can often nurture friendships and create bonds among people helping to kindle strong relationships over the course of the bootcamp.
